As it turns out, Daenerys Targaryen’s children aren’t the only dragons in the village. Game of Thrones fans have long joked that How To Train Your Dragon is basically an animated version of the HBO fantasy series. But one particular scene during an episode of GoT’s season eight seemed to finally bring the two together and HTTYD’s director was stunned by the similarities. During the TV show’s Battle of Winterfell in episode three, Jon Snow and Dany are forced to ride the dragon queen’s two surviving children – Rhaegel and Drogon – to try and take down her former dragon, Viserion, who was turned into a wight by the Night King.
